About Your Massage Session:

What should I wear during the massage?

This is entirely up to your comfort level. Many clients prefer to be completely undressed, while others remain in their underwear. You will be fully covered by a sheet and blanket (“draped”) at all times, with only the area being worked on exposed.

What type of massage is right for me?

This depends on your goals.
– For relaxation and stress relief, a Swedish massage is a great choice.
– For chronic pain or tight muscles, a Deep Tissue massage may be more beneficial.
– If you are an athlete, a Sports massage can help with performance and recovery.

Will the massage hurt?

A massage should not be painful. Some techniques, like deep tissue, can cause discomfort or a “good hurt” as the therapist works on tight muscle knots. Communication is key. Please tell your therapist immediately if the pressure is too much or if you experience any pain.

Should I talk during my session?

It’s completely up to you! Some clients prefer to talk, while others find that silence deepens their relaxation. Your therapist will follow your lead. The only time we need you to speak up is if you are uncomfortable for any reason.

How often should I get a massage?

This varies from person to person. For general wellness, once or twice a month is common. If you are addressing a specific injury or chronic pain, your therapist might recommend more frequent sessions (e.g., weekly) for a short period.

About Health & Safety:

Do I need to fill out a health history form?

Yes, all new clients are required to fill out a confidential health history form. This helps your therapist understand your needs, preferences, and any medical conditions (contraindications) to ensure your session is safe and effective.

Are there any medical conditions where I shouldn’t get a massage?

Yes, there are some contraindications. You should not get a massage if you have a fever, a contagious illness, or an acute injury. If you have conditions like high blood pressure, cancer, heart disease, or are pregnant, massage can often be beneficial, but your therapist needs to know so they can adapt the treatment. Please consult your doctor if you are unsure.

What are your hygiene and sanitation standards?

Your health is our top priority. We thoroughly sanitize the massage table, face cradle, and all surfaces between each client. All linens (sheets and blankets) are single-use and are professionally laundered. Therapists wash their hands before and after every session.
